About Me

I work to understand the whole person, and the unique intermingling of internal and external factors that brings each particular person to seek out therapy at a particular point in time.

When working with children and young adolescents, I conduct an initial interview with parents to get a full understanding of their child’s difficulties. I then continue to check-in with parents through brief phone calls, emails, or formal sessions. I firmly believe that collaborating with parents is the best way for the work to continue after therapy has concluded.

I work with adults who are experiencing a sense of overwhelm in their lives. This can include:

  • Feelings of hopelessness and despair

  • Feeling a lack of control and agency; feeling 'stuck'

  • Difficulties in managing anger

  • Distance in relationships

  • Overwhelming sadness or loneliness

  • Feeling restless, a sense of unease or feeling 'on edge'.

Along with my therapeutic work, I currently work in educational research at Monash University. I have a long-standing interest in philosophy, spirituality, and wellbeing, and how attention to these sometimes hidden phenomena can create change in individual lived experience. Philosophy, and attention to the hidden aspects of lived experience, can be particularly helpful when supporting clients through periods of grief and loss. During these times, I offer a safe space to process emotions and find healing.
